East Syracuse Elementary School

The safety of our students is our top priority. Parent / guardian drop-off and pick-up are located on the side of the building near the softball field (the gymnasium side of the building, which is on the left as you face the school from Kinne St.)  

Morning Drop-Off Reminders:

• Plan to arrive between 8:05-8:10 a.m. The school day begins promptly at 8:15. Students will not be allowed to exit their vehicle before 8:05 a.m.
• Please make sure that your child is prepared to exit your car from the passenger side only. 
• Students should not be exiting near the loading dock. Please wait until a staff member is present and you are near the door. 
• Staff will be on the sidewalk ready to assist your child from the car. Do not let your child out of the vehicle if a staff member is not present. A staff member will come over to your vehicle when it's time for your child to exit. Students should not be crossing on their own or with a parent - please wait for a staff member. Please be patient, this may take time.
• Vehicles will move up through the drop-off lane one car at a time.
• Do not pass any vehicle for any reason. It is not safe for our students.
• Please do not get out of your vehicles during drop off time. If you need to come into the building or drop something off, please park in the main lot and come to the Main Office Entrance, Door #1.
• The student drop off entrance will close promptly at 8:15 a.m. If your child arrives after 8:15, they will be required to enter the building through the Main Entrance, Door #1, and must be signed in by a parent/guardian.

Afternoon Pick-up Reminders:

• Please do not arrive to school before 2:20 p.m.
• Each child will be given a pick-up sign on the first day of school. Please have this sign visible as you enter the pick-up line.
• Staff will be waiting on the sidewalk with your child. They will bring your child to your vehicle. We appreciate your patience during this process.
• Remain in your vehicle. Please do not call your child over.
• Please, for the safety of our students, do not pass any vehicles.
